Rugby Delaware 2023 Rookie Rugby Program
Rugby Delaware runs non-contact rugby programs (Rookie Rugby) for boys and girls aged 7-14. Our programs introduce new players to the game of Rookie Rugby and allow them to develop core rugby skills of passing, catching, evasive running, and scoring! Players typically participate in small-sided games and fun competitions. Our programming in 2021 will be dependent upon the COVID-19 pandemic situation and guidance provided by Center for Disease Control (CDC), Delaware Governor's office, DIAA, and USA Rugby. Multiple COVID-19 mitigation measures will be in place for all sessions and events and these will include but are not necessarily limited to the following; COVID-19 screening questionnaire, cleaning balls and equipment before and after games, hand sanitizer/hand washing station, mask wearing, sessions with smaller groups/teams, social distancing, and limiting spectator numbers.
